Tagging and social bookmaking is an extremely easy and effective way of sharing and filtering interesting links based on social networks. It allows people to subscribe to the bookmarks of others in their network or group, or to a particular ‘tag’ (keyword) assigned to bookmarks stored by others. Tagging and social bookmarking is ideally suited to classroom use as it enables groups to build up a collection of resources very easily around a particular topic such that each individual can benefit from the work of others.
