The rise and the rapid growth of Weblogs in recent years has sparkled a debate on whether blogging is Journalism. Blogging has been described as a phenomenon in its infancy but growing at a rapid pace. Many scholars and professionals argue that this phenomenon has challenged conventional notions of who is a journalist and what journalism is. It has blurred one of the key dividing points between blogging and traditional journalism. For instance, with the incorporation of blogs in the search results on some of the main websites the distinction between bloggers and journalists is becoming increasingly difficult. So, Is blogging journalism? How has blogging changed journalism? What are the threats and opportunities opposed to traditional journalism by Webblogs? How does blogging affect journalism credibility? How do we envision the future of blogging?
